Harvest at Fellside

Thank you to everyone who supported the Harvest coffee morning and also Bashed Bugs on Saturday evening. The Coffee morning raised in total ( together with the sale of flowers donated on Saturday evening) £304.30 and this will form part of the gift taken out to Kosova in December by Jean and Roger. They are very touched by people's generosity and would like to say a special "thank you " to everyone. The
Bug Bash raised £64.89 which will go to the Church Mission Fund.

Thank you also to everyone who invited friends and family to Church for Back to Church Sunday. We believe 8 people were in Church last week as a direct result of our invitations and others received our invitations with pleasure although declining them for whatever reason.

Gift Aid

A very big thank you to all of you who have Gift Aided your contributions to Fellside in the last year. We should receive about £8700 in returned tax. There is still the opportunity for you to Gift Aid if you do not do so, since at present a considerable proportion of each weekly collection is still donated as loose change. Please consider Gift Aiding your contribution. For further details please contact Alan Wright or John Blundred

Admission as Local Preachers

MetroLyfe

Are you interested in coffee, cake and conversation? Then MetroLyfe is for you.
MetroLyfe is a chance to discuss things about God and how Christianity is relevant
to life in today's world, with coffee! Starting on the 10th October we will meet every
Saturday at 09.30 to 10.30am at Starbucks in the Metrocentre Red Mall, ground
floor. This year we are planning a series of discussion topics, based on 'Faith
and...'. The 10th October subject will be
'Faith and Fame (Spirituality and the X Factor).'
MetroLyfe is suitable for everyone. If you have kids then please bring them too
as we will be able to help look after them, allowing you to chat and drink! For more
information speak to Simon Goon, Liz Kent or David Hughes.

Overseas Missions

A total of £552.22p was raised during the past year. This includes £50 given by
Fellside on behalf of the self-denial envelopes. Margaret would like to thank all
members who hold boxes and gave donations for this worthwhile cause. I would be
pleased to supply anyone with an overseas mission box. Please consider taking
one. Thank you.

Fellside Walkers – Bolam Lake, October 17th

Seb has kindly offered to lead a walk starting and finishing at Bolam Lake (NE20
0HE). It will be about 6 miles, not too difficult, but unfortunately not pushchair
friendly. We will meet at 1.00pm, and should easily finish by 4, in time to pay a visit
to the tea shop! We’ll meet at the car park with the visitor centre, but please sign
up on the sheet in the vestibule so that we know who to expect and we don’t start
without you. If the weather is bad, we’ll make a decision on the day, and phone
round if we need to cancel, so please include your phone number.
